APPLE INCLUDES RETROSPECT CLIENT ON RHAPSODY CD

Pre-Release Program Allows Rhapsody Developers to Protect Work

ORINDA, CA – October 14, 1997 – Developers for Apple Computer’s next
generation operating system, code-named Rhapsody, will have an easy way to
back up their development files with the new Retrospect Client for
Rhapsody.

Dantz Development today announced that Apple is including a beta version of
Retrospect Client for Rhapsody on the Rhapsody Developer Release CD-ROM.
Developers may sign up for a pre-release program with Dantz that supports
up to four Rhapsody development computers. Developers who join the program
by paying the $99.00 license fee will also receive bug fixes or
enhancements that become available during the course of Apple’s development
of Rhapsody. More information is available by sending an e-mail to
rhapsody@dantz.com.

The Retrospect Client for Rhapsody is a newly written client, native for
Rhapsody, not an emulated Mac OS client. Retrospect Client for Rhapsody
requires the award-winning Retrospect running on a Mac OS computer.

The Retrospect Client for Rhapsody is ideal for:

– Backing up and restoring user data files and privileges
– Moving files between Mac OS, Windows, and Rhapsody computers
– Protecting against possible problems when upgrading to new
versions of Rhapsody
