Following a number of other companies, OtterBox has already introduced cases for the iPhone 6 before the device officially hits the market. The Symmetry ($40-$45) line has come to iPhone 6, with the same plastic-and-rubber one-piece design and shock absorbing interior found in the case's previous iteration. It remains one of the slimmest OtterBox cases for iPhone, with different graphic designs at different price points....

Analyst: Apple on Track to Top 10M iPhone 6 Launch...

Apple confirmed Monday morning iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus first-day pre-orders topped 4 million units, and Wells Fargo analyst Maynard Um says that puts the company on track to sell at least 10 million during this weekend's in-store launch. If so, Apple is set to more than double its iPhone 5 launch weekend sales.

The Mac Observer Spin: Apple skipped pre-orders last year for the iPhone 5S because inventory was fairly limited. Since pre-orders are back this year, it's likely more inventory is on hand, and based on pre-order weekend figures, that puts the company on track to sell something on the order of 13 million phones this weekend. Some companies can't hit those numbers in a quarter.

Each transaction made with Apple Pay earns Apple 0.15 percent of the purchase, according to the Financial Times. Banking executives raved about Apple Pay — the banks are willing to give up revenue to Apple in “the hope…

iPhone 6 Pre-orders Showing Week-long Shipping Delay

Apple's new iPhone 6 pre-orders have slipped from delivering on September 19 to a seven to ten day shipping delay. The delay means anyone who didn't manage to pre-order their iPhone 6 before inventory ran out will have to wait about a week before seeing theirs, or stand in line this Friday morning at an Apple Store or one of the company's retail partners.

The Mac Observer Spin: It sounds like Apple built up a bigger pre-launch inventory than it had available for earlier iPhone launches, and yet there weren't enough to handle all the pre-orders. You don't see this level of interest for new Samsung or Microsoft smartphone launches.

Apple has announced that its newest iPhones — iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus — received more than four million pre-orders in the first 24 hours of availability. iPhone 6, 6 Plus Pre-orders Top 4 Million in First...

Pre-order sales for Apple's brand new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus topped 4 million during on their first day of availability last Friday. Apple said its first day pre-orders set a new record ahead of this Friday's official in-store launch, and exceeded the company's pre-order inventory.

The Mac Observer Spin: Apple managed to score another record breaker for iPhone sales with last Friday's pre-orders, and if that's any indication, we'll likely see long lines for early adopter sales this Friday at the company's retail locations. There's a chance we'll see fast inventory sellouts, too, especially for the larger screen iPhone 6 Plus.

Apple Says iPhone 6 Pre-orders Hit Record Numbers

Despite getting off to a rocky start, pre-orders for Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus hit record numbers on Friday. The company isn't saying just how many smartphones it sold, but anyone wanting the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will see shipping delays of about a week, and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus is showing even longer delays.

Walmart to Apple: No Mobile Payments for You

Apple says its new mobile payment system for the iPhone 6 and Apple Watch has 220,000 merchants ready to go when it launches in October, but that list doesn't include Walmart or Best Buy -- and it won't, because neither company has any interest in supporting Apple Pay. T-Mobile Joins iPhone 6 Pre-order Lineup

When Apple's just introduced iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pre-orders started -- or at least tried to start -- just after midnight Pacific time, AT&T, Verizon and Sprint were option, but T-Mobile wasn't. That finally changed several hours later, which means not only can hopeful iPhone buyers pre-order the new model, but they can get an unlocked version that works with multiple carriers, too.

The Mac Observer Spin: Apple's iPhone 6 pre-order process was a pain, and T-Mobile's absence when it launched just after midnight was frustrating for many potential customers. Considering how many people seem to want the new models, however, the T-Mobile delay probably won't have a negative impact on sales.

Analyst: Apple’s iPhone 6 to Drive Record Sales

Get ready for record breaking iPhone 6 sales. That's what Canaccord Genuity analyst Michael Walkley is expecting in part because he thinks many iPhone owners skipped the iPhone 5 and 5S cycle in anticipation of this year's models.

Apple Launches New iCloud Pricing with 1TB Storage...

Apple announced new iCloud storage pricing was coming during its WWDC keynote presentation earlier this year, and for the first time we get to see just how much the company thinks a terabyte of online storage is worth. Users who need a full TB of iCloud storage will be paying US$19.99 a month, or twice what Dropbox users pay for the same amount.

The Mac Observer Spin: It's good to see iCloud get 500GB and 1TB storage options. Whether or not Apple's users see those as reasonably priced options remains to be seen considering Dropbox's 1TB option costs half as much.
