Apple posts tvOS 10.1.11, watchOS 3.1.3
Apple has posted tvOS 10.1.1 and watchOS 3.1.3. The former adds the new TV app as a central location for all of your favorite shows and movies. The latter has bug fixe and performance improvements.
To upgrade to tvOS 10.1.1:
° Click on the Settings app from your Apple TV Home screen.
° Click on System.
° Click on Software Update.
° Click on Update Software.
° Click on Download and Install.
To upgrade to watchOS 3.1.3:
° Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi and launch the iOS 10 Watch app.

Notebook's mobile apps introduced the concept of Note Cards: dedicated note types for text, checklists, audio, photos, and sketches. The same concept has been applied to the Mac app, creating a “simple and enjoyable note-taking experience,” according to Raju Vegesna, chief evangelist of Zoho.

Apple has announced major updates to its music creation apps with new features for music makers of all levels on iPhone, iPad and Mac. GarageBand for iOS 2.2 now features the creative synthesizer Alchemy and a new sound browser designed to make searching through instruments and patches easier. Logic Pro X 10.3 for macOS gets a modern interface, new features for professional audio production as well as support for the Touch Bar on the new MacBook Pro.
Logic Pro X users can also remotely add new tracks to their Logic sessions from their iPhone or iPad when they’re away from their Mac. With a new share option, users can upload a special GarageBand-compatible version of a Logic project to iCloud, which they can then open on their iOS devices and add new recordings whenever inspiration strikes. Bluetooth 5 is now available
The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) officially adopted Bluetooth 5 (www.bluetooth.com/bluetooth5) as the latest version of the Bluetooth core specification. Consumers can expect to see products supporting the spec in two to six months.
Key updates to Bluetooth 5 include longer range, faster speed, and larger broadcast message capacity, as well as improved interoperability and coexistence with other wireless technologies, according to Mark Powell, executive director of the Bluetooth SIG.
He adds that feature updates include four times range, two times speed, and eight times broadcast message capacity. Longer range powers whole home and building coverage, for more robust and reliable connections. Higher speed enables more responsive, high-performance devices. Apple posts supplemental security update for Mac OS X El Capitan
Apple has released a supplemental security update for Mac OS X El Capitan (the predecessor to macOS Sierra. According to Apple, it “fixes a kernel issue that may cause your Mac to occasionally become unresponsive.”
The update originally was released in December 2016, but has been reissued. You can obtain the update by launching the Mac App Store app, then checking for updates.

EDpCloud is new multi-platform file sync/backup solution

Focalcrest unveils HomeKit smart home bridging solution
Focalcrest Technology released its HomeKit smart home bridging solution, Mixtile Hub, at the this week’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. It’s a smart home bridging solution to support smart home devices from different brands to access Apple’s HomeKit platform.
The Mixtile Hub can link iOS devices with compatible smart home products, surveillance devices and probe sensors through ZigBee and Z-Wave. It has also obtained the Apple MFi license and can communicate with iOS devices via HomeKit protocol. This means it realizes product control and scene linkage through the Apple Home app and Siri.
