Disk Drill Now Supports macOS 10.13 High Sierra and APFS
CleverFiles (www.cleverfiles.com) has rolled out Disk Drill 3.5, an update to their data recovery app for macOS. Version 3.5 — which requires macOS 10.8.5 or higher — now enables support for Apple's new APFS file system and macOS High Sierra, as well as adds full data recovery support for iOS 11. The user interface has been improved and adds user hints. B-Eng has introduces Data Vault 1.0, a utility for automated encryption and decryption on any Mac. Quark Announces Update to InDesign Exporter for App Studio
Quark has released InDesign Exporter 3.01, the App Studio plug-in that is now compatible with Adobe InDesign CC2017. The completely redesigned plug-in has an improved user interface and enhanced performance with App Studio publishing. Users can download the new plug-in for free from Adobe Exchange Add-ons. This version is only compatible with Adobe InDesign CC2017. If using older versions of Adobe InDesign, users should continue to use the previous plug-ins from the App Studio Documentation Web site.

FontAgent 8 Adds New Previews, Search, High Sierra and Typekit...
Insider Software (www.insidersoftware.com) has announced FontAgent 8 for Macintosh, which adds support for macOS High Sierra and Adobe Typekit, as well as many new capabilities to its list of font management features. New V8 functionality includes faster font previews and search, an all-new Tile View, a more powerful Table View, searchable font tags and comments, automatic font cache clearing, and auto-activation plugins for Adobe Creative Cloud and QuarkXPress 2017. Apple releases iOS 11.0.1 software update
Apple has released iOS 11.0.1. It’s a maintenance release with “bug fixes and improvements for your iPhone or iPad,” according to Apple. The iOS 11.0.1 update can be downloaded over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the update, go to Settings --> General --> Software Update.

iMovie 10.1.7 for Mac adds HEVC support
iMovie for macOS has ben updated, adding support for importing video in the HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) format made possible by macOS High Sierra. watchOS 4 now available for download
Apple has released watchOS 4, featuring a “proactive” Siri watch face, personalized Activity coaching and a new music experience. The update also sports an enhanced Workout app and introduces GymKit, a technology platform that will offer customers connected workouts with cardio equipment. Siri intelligence extends further into Apple Watch with the new Siri watch face. With each raise of the wrist, the information on the display dynamically updates based on the time of day, daily routines and pertinent data from apps such as Activity, Alarms, Breathe, Calendar, Maps, Reminders and Wallet, as well as headlines from the new Apple News app for Apple Watch, according to Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer. Belkin has announced the 3.5 mm Audio + Charge RockStar adapter for the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus. It plugs into the Lightning connector, offering a way for users to simultaneously charge their iPhone and listen to music using 3.5 mm headphone jack devices. This adapter also allows for data syncing through the Lightning connector as well as microphone and remote control on the headphone jack. Typinator is ready for macOS High Sierra
Ergonis Software has announced Typinator 7.3, a maintenance update to their text expander. It’s not only a typing assistant that speeds repetitive typing tasks, but also a system-wide auto-correction tool that automatically fixes typing errors and misspelled words. Version 7.3 comes with more than 40 enhancements and is compatible with the upcoming macOS High Sierra, which is due next week. Typinator 7.3 requires macOS 10.6 or higher. It can be purchased on the Ergonis Software website (www.ergonis.com). The upgrade to Typinator 7.3 is free for Typinator 7 license owners and for anyone who purchased a license for Typinator 6 on or after Jan. 1, 2016. StatGeek announces LineUp, LineUp Pro for the Mac
StatGeek has announced Lineup and Lineup Plus for the Mac. They allow users to produce advanced basketball statistics along with statistics on 5-man groups, 2-man groups and 3-man groups in seconds. Each program works off play-by-play data produced by any number of statistics programs, including StatGeek’s own iPad app. Lineup produces advanced statistics such as effective field goal percentage, true shooting percentage and efficiency along with five-man lineup data. Lineup Plus produces everything the Lineup does, along with data on two and three man groups so a coach can identify the pairs and trios that are working best together no matter which five-man group they’re partnered with. Lineup is available via StatGeek online (https://statgeek.com) for $199 for a 12-month subscription, and Lineup Plus is $399 for a 12-month subscription.

Reinvented Software introduces Keep It 1.0 for the Mac
Reinvented Software has debuted Keep It 1.0 for the Mac. It combines notebook and organizer features. With Keep It, you can take notes for that idea you need to save, or list you need to make, save web pages as links, and PDFs for offline viewing. The app can be used to edit its own notes, along with rich and plain text files, and can store any kind of file. Keep It will also show summaries, thumbnails and previews for most file formats. Keep It for Mac 1.0 requires macOS 10.12 Sierra or later, and is available as a 15-day demo (http://reinventedsoftware.com/keepit/) that can be unlocked upon purchase. ChronoSync for macOS upgraded to version 4.8
Econ Technologies (https://www.econtechnologies.com) has upgraded ChronoSync, its backup utility for the Mac, to version 4.8. “Assistants” now guide you through the process of configuring a Synchronizer Task. This lets you run syncs and backups automatically when files are changed ChronoSync 4.8 — a free update for registered users — also adds a “Validate” step to check backed up data and verify the integrity not only of the file contents, but all file attributes and metadata associated with the files. You can confirm backups down to every last detail and get a report of anything that might be out-of-sync. ChronoSync costs $49.99. Its $14.99 companion app, ChronoAgent, allows any Mac to accept direct, secure connections from any ChronoSync Mac or any InterConneX iOS device to access or transfer data. Demos are available for download. ChronoMonitor is an iPhone app that monitors Macs running ChronoSync or ChronoAgent. It’s available in the Apple App Store for $3.99.
