Bare Bones Software Releases Yojimbo 1.2
New “Copy Item Link” Command Helps Customers Harness Yojimbo’s Power For
Use In Concert With Other Productivity Tools

BEDFORD, Mass. – June 7, 2006 – Bare Bones Software, developer of
leading-edge power tools for Mac OS X, today released Yojimbo 1.2, an
update to their reliable, effortless information organizer.

Yojimbo 1.2 features a new “Copy Item Link” command that enables Yojimbo
customers to place links to Yojimbo items in other applications, such as
iCal.

“‘Copy Item Link’ allows customers to harness Yojimbo’s power to work in
concert with any desired productivity tool,” said Rich Siegel, founder and
CEO of Bare Bones Software.

The Yojimbo 1.2 update also includes a pair of bookmarklets that facilitate
bookmarking or archiving a page to Yojimbo with a single click. To further
enhance the ease of Yojimbo’s powerful searching, version 1.2 now
highlights search terms when displaying the results of a search.

A new “Quick Start” movie, combined with a new “Getting Started” reference
document in the Yojimbo help, provides a crash course in how to make the
most of Yojimbo from the very beginning.

Yojimbo 1.2 allows bookmarks to export as clipping files, and includes an
enhanced “import” scripting verb. Yojimbo 1.2 provides other improvements
and refinements, plus fixes to reported issues, and is a recommended update
for all Yojimbo customers.

Yojimbo 1.2 requires Mac OS X 10.4.3 or later and is available free of
charge to all registered Yojimbo customers. The Yojimbo 1.2 update includes
bookmarklets compatible with Safari, Camino, FireFox, and OmniWeb. An
update package is available for download from the Bare Bones Software web
site:

Yojimbo Organizes Everything Else
———————————

Yojimbo empowers Mac users to manage, effortlessly and securely, the
onslaught of information encountered every day at work and at home, even
across multiple computers. Yojimbo stores different data types: text notes,
passwords, Web bookmarks, product serial numbers, PDFs, and web archives.

Data input into Yojimbo follows familiar Mac User Interface gestures such
as copy-and-paste, drag-and-drop, a Quick Input Panel, or PDF Services from
the Print menu. Searching and retrieval are instantaneous, using either
Yojimbo’s built-in search, or the Spotlight search system in Mac OS X
Tiger. If desired, Yojimbo will encrypt data using the secure AES-256
algorithm standard.

Its simple, flexible storage system allows for personally-defined
organization of data. Support for Mac OS X’s Sync Services synchronization
provides back-up and data portability for .Mac account holders, making
irrelevant which computer was used to access, add or modify an item stored
in Yojimbo.
