ALADDIN SYSTEMS’ SHRINKWRAP SOFTWARE PROVIDES APPLE’S iDISK USERS WITH
INTERNET FILE SAFETY

ShrinkWrap Encryption Capabilities Provide Protection For iDisk Files
From Unauthorized Viewing And Maintains Transparent Access To Data

Watsonville, California – February 2, 2000 – Aladdin Systems, Inc., a
wholly owned subsidiary of Aladdin Systems Holdings, Inc. (OTC: ALHI),
announced today that ShrinkWrap 3.5.1, a new update, is perfect for iDisk
customers to secure their data and maintain transparent access to the data,
because it encrypts image files and supports network volumes.
ShrinkWrap(tm), the quickest and easiest way to create and distribute disk
images, provides encryption security for iDisk(tm) users, an Internet
storage service provided by Apple Computer’s iTools(tm).

With ShrinkWrap, iDisk users can create an exact byte-for-byte image of a
file, encrypt it, and then save it to iDisk. ShrinkWrap’s powerful 40-bit
encryption delivers security to both compressed and read/write images. The
encrypted file requires a password before it can be viewed, so only those
with the password can view a user’s image file.

iDisk is a component of iTools, a new series of Internet services provided
by Apple Computer, Inc. iDisk provides 20Mb of personal Internet-based
storage on Apple’s Internet server, which can be used in the same way as
any folder on the desktop. By using ShrinkWrap to encrypt the files stored
on an iDisk, users can ensure that no one else sees their private files.
Even more private than an archive, users have transparent access to
encrypted files, because ShrinkWrap easily accesses them as if they were
regular files.

ShrinkWrap also includes the space-saving StuffIt(tm) compression
technology, making ShrinkWrap’s images even smaller and faster to create.

In addition to providing unparalleled security for iDisk files, ShrinkWrap
is the perfect tool for distributing or making exact copies of data, images
or files of any type. ShrinkWrap can be used to back up original floppies
or CDs to removable media; install Apple’s System updates and System
software extensions; distribute CDs, floppies, hard drives or other
external media over a network or the Internet; distribute multiple disk
images on floppies, or to create disk images of Preferences and to save a
game for play on a different machine.

IS professionals and software developers will find additional uses for
ShrinkWrap, including the ability to clone Macintosh set-ups, assuring that
all machines in an enterprise are set up consistently; verify the integrity
of development builds; and send electronic images to reproduction or
fulfillment houses for CD manufacturing and archival purposes.

Requirements and Availability
ShrinkWrap supports System 7.1.1 and higher, including Mac OS 9 for
Macintosh and Power Macintosh. It contains both 68K- and PowerPC-native
code, is AppleEvent aware, 32-bit clean, AV-‘040 cache- and virtual
memory-compatible. Although a Macintosh SE or better is required for full
functionality, the Mac Plus can still use ShrinkWrap to mount, convert and
verify disk image files. The Component Manager, available with QuickTime
1.5 or system 7.1 or later, is required to handle compressed or encrypted
disk images.

ShrinkWrap is distributed electronically and at select retail outlets. It
carries a suggested retail price of $29.95, with a 30-day money-back
guarantee. ShrinkWrap is available directly from Aladdin and on numerous
Internet download sites. ShrinkWrap is available in English and Japanese.
