AbiWord 0.9.4.1 is a full-featured, award-winning word processor that can

language support and more. AbiWord can write RTF, HTML, XHTML, PalmDoc and
ASCII document formats.

Gnumeric 0.74 can edit Microsoft Excel, Lotus 123, MultiPlan, Plan Perfect,
HTML and CSV file formats. It is a complete spreadsheet that offers a
comprehensive function suite, data analysis tools, data consolidation, cell
formatting, multiple “undos,” search and replace. Gnumeric will write
Excel, PDF, HTML, XML, CSV and Data Interchange Format files.

Gimp 1.2.1 may be used to edit Adobe Photoshop, TIFF, JPEG and PNG file
formats. Gimp offers complete image manipulation tools, filters, plug-ins,
text and effects. It also has powerful image automation capabilities. It
can write Photoshop (with layers intact), TIFF, JPEG and PNG file formats.
