Seventeen Pre-Coded WebObjects Modules for Dreamweaver Streamline the
Process of Developing Dynamic Web Sites
MACWORLD EXPO, SAN FRANCISCO Jan. 6, 1999Macromedia (NASDAQ: MACR)
and Apple Computer, Inc. today announced that Dreamweaver(TM)
Macromedias award-winning professional Web authoring environment,
now provides support for WebObjects 4, Apples market-leading
application server. The integration of the two products allows Web
site designers to use Macromedias acclaimed Dreamweaver 2 as a front
end to Apples WebObjects Internet and Intranet development platform.
Later this quarter, 17pre-coded WebObjects modules will be available
for Dreamweaver 2, radically streamlining the process of building a
WebObjects-powered Internet site.
The integration with Apple WebObjects 4 is a strategic addition to
the capabilities of Dreamweaver 2, said Norm Meyrowitz, president of
Macromedia products. As a result, developers for the first time can
take advantage of an easy-to-use, visual Web site design environment
and the powerful E-commerce and database functionality of WebObjects
regardless of their Web development platform."
With our announcements at Macworld, WebObjects customers can now
look forward to developing and deploying their applications on our
stunning new Power Macintosh G3 systems, said Phil Schiller, vice

editing environment for WebObjects, and Dreamweaver 2 fits the bill
perfectly so now it will be even easier to create a

Beginning in February, Dreamweaver 2 developers can simplify the
process of developing dynamic Web sites by downloading 17 pre-coded
WebObjects modules for Dreamweaver 2 and related documentation from
http://www.dreamweaver.com. Once installed, the WebObjects components
allow site developers to easily insert WebObjects content into
documents created in Dreamweaver 2. The modules will be available
free to registered Dreamweaver 2 developers.
