Netopia Announces Timbuktu Pro Software for New Intel-Based Macintosh

One of the First Software Applications to Offer Universal Binary Support
for both Intel and PowerPC Macintoshes

EMERYVILLE, Calif., Jan. 11, 2006 Netopia, Inc. (NTPA.OB), a market leader

Timbuktu Pro version 8.6, previewed at this week’s Macworld Expo in San
Francisco, will support Apple’s new Intel-based Macintosh platform. The new
version of Timbuktu Pro, based on Apple’s universal binary strategy, will
run natively on both PowerPC and Intel-based Macintoshes and will deliver
optimal performance for both architectures in a single package.

Demonstrations of Timbuktu Pro 8.6 are available at Netopia’s MacWorld
booth #2628 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
