NeoLogic Systems, Inc. is now shipping NeoAccess Version 6.0, the
next-generation of its embeddable object database engine. This
version has powerful new features like journaling- based recovery and
symmetric multiprocessing. It also has a simplified C++ API and is
Microsoft COM- compatible.

Microsoft COM is being increasingly adopted by enterprises as the
data exchange interface between systems so that programmers are not
limited in their choice of development tools. Application tools that
support COM include Visual Basic, Visual J++, Visual C++, Delphi,
Power Builder, and FoxPro.

The basic NeoAccess database engine lists for $749 for the
development environment and does not require payment of any runtime
fees, as long as the application in which it is embedded does not
permit programmatic access to persistent data. The more advanced
NeoAccess Professional lists for $1,499 and allows programmatic
access. The runtime fees for NeoAccess Professional are as little as
$1 per copy. Both these products are presently available for Windows
(95/98/NT/) and Macintosh (PowerPC/M68K) environments. In addition to
Windows and Macintosh, NeoAccess Professional is also available for
Windows CE. Developers can get more information on these products
from the company’s website, www.neologic.com.

The NeoLogic web site, at www.neologic.com, has been extensively
updated with new technical and business-related information,
including a new technical overview, sample applications, pricing and
licensing information.
