MacSpeech Announces ScriptPak for BBEdit

Salem, NH, 2005-11-09: Macintosh speech recognition authority MacSpeech has
released a new ScriptPak for BBEdit from Bare Bones Software. The new
ScriptPak installs over 450 commands into iListen that allows the user to
do virtually anything in BBEdit they would normally do using keyboard
shortcuts or menus.

“This ScriptPak is excellent for web designers and programmers who want to
voice-enable their programming, or anyone who wants to get more out of the
Mac’s most popular text processor,” said MacSpeech Chief Evangelist Chuck
Rogers. “A ScriptPak for BBEdit has been on of our most often requested
ScriptPaks, and we are pleased to offer this to Macintosh users.”

The BBEdit ScriptPak provides users with unprecedented access to BBEdit’s
many features, including the ability to instruct the program to format
documents, check syntax, navigate between and within documents, comment and
uncomment text, and much more. The ScriptPak for BBEdit is available
immediately from the MacSpeech web site and sells for $19.95. iListen 1.6.5
or later and BBEdit 8.x is required to use the new ScriptPak.

ScriptPaks work with MacSpeech’s flagship product, iListen, whose
TalkAnywhere technology allows users to dictate anywhere they would
normally type. ScriptPaks enhance iListen’s Command & Control capabilities
by teaching it about the individual keyboard and menu commands in a
specific program. ScriptPaks only affect iListen’s ability to control an
application and are not required for dictation.

MacSpeech offers several iListen packages, including a software only
solution for $99, and a software and headset with microphone for $149.

MacSpeech is a Mac-only company dedicated to producing the finest speech
products for Macintosh.
