EMC DANTZ RETROSPECT EXTENDS SUPPORT FOR MAC OS X TIGER

HOPKINTON, Mass. – October 3, 2005 – EMC Corporation, the world leader in
information management and storage, today announced the availability of EMC
Dantz Retrospect 6.1 for Macintosh that delivers enhanced support for the
Mac OS X version 10.4 “Tiger” operating system. The new functionality
boosts information security for individuals and small and medium businesses
using Macintosh computers.

Retrospect 6.1 has incorporated support for backup and restoration of
access control lists (ACLs) that administrators use to control which users
can access or modify files stored on a Mac OS X Tiger server. Support has
also been added for Mac OS X Tiger extended attributes that will be used by
future Macintosh applications.

Retrospect 6.0 customers can download, at no charge, an electronic update
to Retrospect 6.1 for Macintosh at www.emcdantz.com.
