Boris FX introduces Job Slate pug-in for Final Cut Pro
Boris FX (http://www.borisfx.com) has announced Boris Job Slate, an US$199 Apple Final Cut Pro plug-in that automatically creates commercial slates based on XML files received from the Ad-ID advertising identification and management system.
It imports Ad-ID XML files, automatically parses the data, and creates a commercial slate, eliminating the need for manual data entry. The text style, text layout, font type, and font size can be fully customized in the Boris Job Slate text window. Changes to the actual text are never saved, preserving data integrity and avoiding inadvertent changes to the imported Ad-ID information.
With Boris Slate, you can use pre-installed backdrops or create custom image plates. You can also move entire text objects relative to the background and change their scale using Final Cut Pro controls.
Also, for a limited time, Boris FX is offering a free, fully-licensed plug-in from Boris Continuum Complete 6 - BCC Comet, an auto-animating filter based on Boris Continuum Complete's Particle System filter. BCC Comet can be used to create streaking comets that move in 3D space. The free BCC Comet filter is available for Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, Apple Motion, and Apple Final Cut Express.
