LaCie says its Rugged USB 3.0 Thunderbolt Series hard drive is now available in a 2TB version. With double the storage of its predecessor, the new LaCie Rugged is the highest capacity bus–powered storage solution with Thunderbolt technology on the market, according to Erwan Girard, Lacie’s professional business manager.
Plus, the 2TB model achieves speeds up to 127MB/second, a 15% increase from the previous version. It sports USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt ports/
The LaCie Rugged USB 3.0 Thunderbolt Series 2TB HDD, design by Neil Poulton, is available through the LaCie Online Store (www.lacie.com) and LaCie resellers for a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of US$299.99. And a Thunderbolt cable is included.
