Gaucho Software has revved Seasonality Core, their weather app for Mac OS X, to version 2.4. The update has several improvements to the mapping interface.

Gaucho has revamped the Particle Mode wind simulation to show cooler-looking particles (see the screenshot below). The map now wraps around instead of having a hard boundary at 180 degrees.

Gaucho also added a new graph hover mode that’s easier to read. The hover shows up when you mouse-over the graphs to allow you to closely inspect the data being displayed. There’s another handy addition: if you hold down the Option key on your keyboard while hovering over a graph, the app will show you a full array of conditions at that time, not just the condition of the graph you are hovering over.

Seasonality Core costs US$24.99 and is available at the Mac App Store. Updates to version 2.4 are free for current customers.  A 30-day free trial can be downloaded from the Seasonality Core website (http://GetSeasonality.com/core/).
