Here are the latest updates for Mac OS X apps:

Apple has released MacBook Air and MacBook Pro Update 2.0, a software update that Apple recommends for, “all Mac notebooks introduced in June 2012.” It’s available via the Software Updates component of Mac OS X’s System Preferences app.

InfoLogic has rolled out MathMagic Personal Edition 8.2 (www.mathmagic.com), an update to their multi-purpose mathematical equation editor. The upgrade adds support for Apple’s Gatekeeper, WolframAlpha computation and the ability to search for equations and questions, reversed Radical Signs for Arabic right-to-left writing countries, and other improvements.

Zykloid Software has updated Posterino (http://zykloid.com/posterino), its “life poster” composing application, to version 2.5. The image browser no longer displays a bunch of iPhoto Events at the top of the iPhoto albums tree (iPhoto 9.4+). All events are again part of the “Events” sub-album-tree.

Flexibits has cooked up Fantastica (http://flexibits.com/fantastical) — a calendar application for Mac that lets you create, view, and search your events — to version 1.3.4. The upgrade sports improved search speed and updated Daylight Savings Time info for some countries.

Objective Development (www.obdev.at) has launched LaunchBar 5.4, the latest version of the company’s productivity utility that provides immediate access to thousands of files, Web bookmarks, email addresses and applications just by entering short abbreviation. The upgrade adds a “Send via AirDrop” action and a “Display in Notification Center” AppleScript action.

Creaceed (www.creaceed.com) has introduced Hydra 3.1, an update of its dynamic range (HDR) imaging app for photographers. The upgrade offers user experience refinements, accelerated previewing and rendering, as well as support for Apple’s latest hardware (Retina MacBook Pro) and software (Mountain Lion, Aperture).
