New York District Court Judge Gary Sharpe has recused himself from a lawsuit involving Apple as he has an “interest” in the technology firm, although he didn’t clarify what that was, reports “CNET.”

Dynamic Advances, a limited liability company based in Texas, has sued Apple for allegedly infringing on a voice recognition technology patent. The company didn’t actually invent the patent but has exclusively licensed it from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute — where the inventors work, notes “CNET.”
