During a special media event today, Apple CEO Tim Cook says the iPad, which is driving the “post-PC revolution,” now has 68% of the U.S. tablet market and accounts for 91% of tablet web traffic.

Last quarter Apple sold 17 million iPads. Cook says that, to put things in perspective, Apple sold more iPads than any PC manufacturer sold of their entire computer line-up.

He says that 94% of all Fortune 500 companies are testing or deploying the Apple tablet. And when it comes to the Apple App Store, Cook says it’s now home to over 750,000 apps — with over 250,000 of them specifically made for the iPad.
