DesktopWidget is a new, lightweight Dashboard extension for Mac OS X specifically designed for both “active widget users” and developers alike.

It lets you organize your widget collection and simulate almost every widget. You can leave the main widget collection on the built-in OS X Dashboard, and use a subset of them as desktop widgets. With Desktop Widget, you can show and hide all desktop widgets with a single hotkey.

If you are developer, you can visually check control regions and JavaScript errors while developing and inspect any parts of your widget on the fly. What’s more, DesktopWidget can sync either your widgets and their preferences between all your Macs via Dropbox.

DesktopWidget is priced at US$9.99 and available directly from Deep IT (http://deepitpro.com/en/mac/index.shtml). A demo version is available for download.
