The iPhone 4S sold over four million units over the weekend. The strong early sales gives the iPhone 4S a strong shot of taking over the Guinness World Record for fastest-selling consumer gadget ever, notes the “Atlantic Wire” (http://macte.ch/bcPgd).
That title currently belongs to the Kinect, Microsoft’s motion sensor for the Xbox. It sold 10 million units in about four months after it was launched last November, beating out Apple’s iPad for the sales record crown.
