RedleX (http://www.mellel.com) says Mellel 2.9, an upgrade to its word processor for Mac OS X, will be released on Aug. 15 and will offer Lion compatibility.
It also enhances page design options, offering a “page design” dialogue, easy editing of headers and footers from within the document, different first page, start with next even/odd page, and more. A future version of Mellel, to be released this autumn, will adopt and adapt such Lion features as full screen, automatic save, and so on.
RedleX will offer Mellel at a reduced price of US$29 ($19 for an educational license) for a limited time. All licenses come with a guaranteed lifetime of free updates.
