Blackmagic Design has announced a plethora of products. They include:

° UltraStudio 3D, an US$995, compact, portable capture and playback device based on the all-new Thunderbolt technology developed by Intel and brought to market with collaboration from Apple. UltraStudio 3D features full resolution dual stream 3D support, 12-bit hardware architecture, dual link 3 Gb/s SDI, support for up to 1080p60 in SDI and component analog and HDMI 1.4a connections, as well as full SD, HD and 2K support.

° ATEM Camera Converter ($595), a new type of converter that allows consumer HDMI cameras or professional SDI cameras to use optical fiber for low cost connection to live production switchers up to 25 miles away. It also includes talkback, external microphone input, program return feed, on-air tally and a built-in battery power source.

° ATEM Television Studio, a $995 live production switcher that combines a professional switcher with a broadcast quality H.264 encoder so customers can perform live multi-camera production and broadcast encoding for the Internet all in one product.

° HyperDeck Shuttle, $345 disk recorder that captures uncompressed 10-bit SDI or HDMI video onto Solid State Disks (SSDs). It’s battery powered so is designed for recording high quality on location shoots, or for use as a deck with live production switchers.

° HyperDeck Studio, a $995 uncompressed 10-bit broadcast recorder for Solid State Disks (SSD) that features dual slots to allow automatic recording onto the next disk when one record disk fills, allowing “unlimited” duration recording.

° DeckLink 4K, a $595 3 Gb/s Quad Link SDI capture card that supports SD, HD, 3 Gb/s HD, 2K and 4K capture and playback using a single PCI Express slot.

° DaVinci Resolve 8, an update to the $995 color correction tool. New features include multi layer timeline support with editing, and XML import and export with Apple Final Cut Pro. The new DaVinci Resolve 8 now includes OpenCL processing to allow use on iMac and MacBook Pro computers.

° DaVinci Resolve Lite, a free, reduced feature version of DaVinci Resolve.

° SmartView Duo, a $695 dual rack monitor with 8-inch LCD screens, 3 Gb/s SDI video inputs and centralized network based control to allow color matching when used in multi monitor installations.

° UltraStudio SDI, a $395, compact SDI capture and playback solution with HDMI monitoring for USB 3.0 computers (sorry, Macs).

° Media Express 3, a free update for advanced capture and playback using Blackmagic Design DeckLink, Multibridge, Intensity and UltraStudio Pro products that support Mac OS X, Windows 7 and Linux platforms.
