Stores carrying Apple products should be on guard. Burglaries of such establishments seems to be on the rise.

A security camera caught this smash and grab robbery at an apple store in Greenwich, Connecticut, reports “NECN” (http://www.necn.com/12/15/10/New-England-Apple-stores-step-up-securit/landing_newengland.html?blockID=373458&feedID=4206). Thousands of dollars in merchandiser were stolen.

Several stores selling Apple products in Vermont and New Hampshire have also been targeted recently, notes “NECN.” Police say the suspects were looking for drug money and knew the popular products would help them get it.

And yesterday South Burlington (Vermont) police responded to an alarm at Small Dog Electronics at about 0605 hours and found the front door had been broken, reports “WPTZ” (http://www.wptz.com/mostpopular/26140038/detail.html). Officers found a display case where the glass was broken and an unknown number of iPad were stolen.

Last Thursday, the same store was burglarized. The Waitsfield location of Small Dog Electronics was also burglarized on Monday, notes “WPTZ.”
